Men’s Conference

Men, are you experiencing all the life Jesus has for you, or do you oftentimes feel overwhelmed, oppressed and alone?

Sadly, we can feel more hopeless, helpless and harmless than bold, courageous and dangerous for good.

Is this all we can hope for, or is there more in God’s plan for us?

There is more for us.

Dave MacLean invites you on an expedition into God-breathed wholeheartedness.  Have the eyes of your heart opened to see the epic adventure into which you have been called.  Understand the nature of the spiritual opposition set against you to keep you from experiencing all the life Jesus has for you.   Then be equipped, inspired and engaged to overcome the spiritual opposition set against you and appropriate God’s life.

Come alive and learn how to fight for all that God has for you.

This is not a men’s retreat – it’s an advance.  We’ve been retreating for far too long.

This is not a day of tips, tactics and techniques.  This is a day designed to facilitate the breath of God breathing on the dry bones of men’s lives so that we come alive and stand up on our feet, together as a vast army for good.

“The breath entered them and they came alive!  They stood up on their feet, a huge army.”  Ezekiel 37:10

Join us.

Breathe.  Live.  Fight.

Wholehearted Men’s Conference Content

Session 1: Is this as good as it gets?

Why do Christian men often feel dry, hopeless and alone? Is there more in God’s heart for us, or is this as good as it gets? In this session, we explore God’s desire to breathe life into the dry bones of men’s lives so that we come alive and stand up together as a vast army for good.

Session 2: What on earth is going on?

We often feel trapped in a small story and do not see the bigger picture that God has invited us into. There is a story for our lives that is far larger than we have ever understood. In this session, we will explore the bigger story and our place in it. This is the Gospel like you have never heard it before.

Session 3: Why is life so difficult?

Whether we realize it or not, we are under constant attack from an enemy that has set out to steal, kill and destroy all that God has for us. If we do not understand the spiritual opposition in our lives, we will not seize all the life God has for us and wonder why life is so hard. In this session, we will uncover the strategy of the enemy in our lives and help us specifically identify how he has manipulated and misguided men.

Session 4: How can I start winning?

God has given us the tools we need to overcome the spiritual opposition in our lives so that we can live the life God has designed for us and take our place in the bigger story – in the epic adventure called the Kingdom of God. In this session, we will be equipped with the tools of truth to set us free from the strategy of the enemy and live in greater freedom and victory.

Session 5: How do I live differently?

In this closing session, we will summarize the critical life-changing truths from the day. We will also have the opportunity to commit to, and be commissioned in, moving forward together as a band of brothers.

What men and Pastors are saying:

“You can’t come away from this conference without being impacted in a deep way, personally and with your relationship with God. The message speaks to something deep inside you.”
Tim Besuijen – Alix Evangelical Free Church, Alix AB

“As a pastor I was greatly encouraged to see men in my church ‘getting real’ – the life and strength of our church has been significantly impacted. The combination of superb presentations, supremely practical biblical teaching, transparency and time to process with God was amazing. Personally I was deeply challenged and received profound ministry.”
Pastor Terry Janzen, Riverside Community Church
Port Coquitlam, BC

“This was worth every penny I spent. Helped me realize the battle we are in as Christian men. I was on a path of destruction and now I am rejuvenated and ready to get back in the battle.”
Mike Leavitt – Red Deer, AB

Kermit the Frog observed that it isn’t easy being green.  As a pastor, I observe that it isn’t easy being a guy these days either…and I don’t think I’m alone in my uneasiness. Most guys are just going through the motions of marriage, parenting, career and church and are living their lives in quiet desperation.  It is into this uneasiness that the Holy Spirit is using Dave McLean to breathe His wholeheartedness into guys one life at a time.  I’ve never witnessed a dead man being raised to life until I spent the day with Dave.  It was so cool to see dead guys brought back to life right before my very eyes. Being a guy is still not easy, but Dave gave us tools to enter the uneasiness and win.

Pastor Brad Watson, Lakeshore St. Andrew’s Church
Windsor, ON
